Accessibility Statement

MCG Property Improvements LLC is committed to providing a fully accessible website experience for all users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies like screen readers, screen enlargement software, and alternative keyboard input devices to navigate the web.

Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessibility

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 as our guiding principle for determining accessibility. These are internationally agreed-upon standards that cover a wide range of recommendations and best practices for making content useable. As we add new pages and functionality to our website, all designs, code, and content entry practices are checked against these standards.

Website accessibility is an ongoing process. We continually test content and features for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance and remediate any issues to ensure we meet or exceed the standards. Testing of our website is performed by our team members using industry-standard tools such as the Accessibility Checker WordPress Plugin, color contrast analyzers, keyboard-only navigation techniques, and Flesch-Kincaid readability tests.

Accessibility Features On Our Website

The following is a list of items we have included in our website to improve its accessibility:

  • Semantic HTML Structure – Our website uses proper semantic HTML markup with meaningful heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) and structural elements (header, nav, main, footer) to ensure screen readers can properly interpret page structure and content organization
  • Keyboard Navigation – All interactive elements including navigation menus, service links, contact forms, and call-to-action buttons are fully accessible using keyboard navigation alone, allowing users to navigate our entire website without requiring a mouse
  • Skip Navigation Links – “Skip to main content” and “Skip to footer” links are prominently placed at the top of every page, allowing keyboard users and screen reader users to quickly bypass repetitive navigation content and jump directly to the main content area
  • Alternative Text for Images – All images throughout our website, including service photos, team pictures, property improvement examples, and decorative elements include descriptive alternative text (alt text) that is read by screen readers
  • Color Contrast Compliance – Text and background color combinations across our website are carefully selected to meet WCAG AA standards for color contrast, ensuring readability for users with low vision, color blindness, or viewing in bright sunlight
  • Descriptive Link Text – All links throughout our website use descriptive, meaningful text that clearly indicates their purpose and destination (e.g., “Learn about our kitchen remodeling services” instead of “click here”)
  • Form Labels and Instructions – All form fields on our website, including the free estimate request form and contact forms, include clearly associated labels and helpful instructions that screen readers can announce
  • Resizable Text – Website content can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality, readability, or requiring horizontal scrolling—ensuring users can enlarge text to suit their vision needs
  • Service Page Organization – Each service page (interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, landscaping, kitchen and bath remodeling, property maintenance, and cleaning services) is organized with clear headings and logical content structure
  • Mobile Responsiveness – Our website is fully responsive and accessible on all devices—smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers—with touch targets and interactive elements sized appropriately for all users

Where We’re Improving

In our efforts to bring our website up to standard, we are targeting the following areas:

  • ARIA Landmark Roles – Implementing additional ARIA landmark roles to further enhance navigation for screen reader users and assistive technology devices, making it easier to jump between major content sections
  • Color Contrast Refinement – Conducting comprehensive color contrast audits across all service pages, form elements, and call-to-action buttons to ensure 100% compliance with WCAG AAA standards
  • Form Error Handling – Enhancing form validation messages and error notifications to be more descriptive and accessible, providing clear guidance to users on how to correct form submission issues
  • Video and Visual Content – As we add more project showcase videos and before/after galleries to demonstrate our painting, drywall, remodeling, and landscaping work, we are adding captions and descriptions for all visual media
  • Accessibility Documentation – Expanding our accessibility resources and creating detailed documentation about the specific accessibility features available on our website for users who rely on assistive technologies

We regularly review accessibility reports and user feedback to identify and prioritize improvements. Our goal is continuous enhancement of the user experience for everyone who visits MCG Property Improvements’ website—whether you’re a property manager managing multiple units in Tucson, an investor looking for reliable multifamily improvement services, or a homeowner planning a kitchen remodel or painting project.
